Financials
The Science Center said it was missing a check. The Treasurer said she would pull check stubs to see if one matches what the Science Center is looking for.
Jake pulled money from the lock box that is now used for pop payments. The cash was too thick to put in the Treasurer's lock box, so in the future Jake will try transferring a little bit at a time.
Since we switched to using a lockbox for pop money (instead of the plastic pitcher we used to use) money is no longer disappearing from the fund!
Benevity wants us to recertify. The Treasurer said she'd get that done. We need Benevity certification to apply for a lot of grants.

Space Updates
The board received a complaint about a member who distracted someone else while the other person was using a dangerous power tool. Dave had a discussion with this member.
Kudos were given to the Wood Shop Stewards for the new arrangement of the shop.
New members were sent email invitations to the next Space Work Night.
The new laser computer is now up and running! Many thanks to John W for making that happen!
There are 2 general purpose laptops in the classroom's red toolbox now. One of them may be commandeered for the vinyl cutter.
Dave mentioned he might be able to get another batch of Windows 11 capabale PCs for the space.
Under the auspices of the CEC, John proposed holding a social event facilitated with pizza for the October member meeting. It was decided more would likely attend if it was before the meeting.
Such an event would cost money. The CEC was given a one-time $250 budget when it was created. The board decided to make this the CEC's annual budget.
Vote to give the CEC an annual budget of $250

Although only 4 people showed up for Dave's short-notice paper airplane making shindig, there was still at least 1 paper airplane stuck in the ceiling at the time of this meeting so the Secretary declared it a success.
General reminder that Board elections would be held at the next member meeting, so all members should consider whether or not they want to run again.
Classes
Connor is working on a stained glass making glass
Matt A did a soldering class a couple weeks ago.
Brad pointed out that technically the word "education" appears no where in our mission statement. Therefore holding classes is not one of our obligations, although he expressed support for the endeavor.
Meeting Adjourned
After the motion to adjourn was announced... "All those in favor say, Arrrrrr" - Dave
