Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting

  • The Secretary was ashamed as he did not type up the notes from the August meeting yet. He will rectify this by the next meeting.

Financials

  • The member who had surgery as noted in the May board meeting notes still is not able to use the space so his/her recurring membership will be canceled, presumably until he has recuperated.

  • We received a $10 donation for electronics

  • Steward Chris needs to be reimbursed for a Wood Shop expense he submitted.

  • One member may have paid for the same time period twice. One of the board members will talk with him to see if this was the case or if he was paying ahead.

Current Members: 90

  • Open House attendance has been light lately

  • A couple weeks ago a person stopped by who plans to open an indoor mini golf course

Space Updates

  • Members continue breaking things in the Wood Shop, one was even a new guy.

  • Due to tools disappearing, about half of the drawers in the Auto Shop tool chest will soon be under combination lock. Dave (Auto Shop Steward) will be in charge of disseminating the combination.

  • Laser computer is fully up and running! Thanks largely to John and Don!

  • The Lead CNC is almost back up and running. Retraining videos are

Security Camera Discussion

  • We have 7 cameras available to add to the Security System. Three of them are already destined for the following areas...

    • CNC

    • courtyard

    • back hallway

  • One of the Wood Shop cameras also needs to be repositioned as it is currently behind the Wood Storage rack.

  • When the new cameras are added we'll need to add more storage to the security computer. Dave and Don will discuss what is needed.

Next Member Meeting and Elections

  • The next member meeting is on 10/26 at 3pm. Elections for the 2024-2025 Board of Directors will be held so everyone should start thinking about whether they want to run again or not. The Secretary will start a nominations thread in the Google group. Jason said he will start selecting his walk off music.

Meeting Adjourned

  • The drawer in the Auto Shop Dave has decided not to lock up is known as the "Drawer of Random Allen Wrenches"
