Financials
We got a check for $150 for one of our member's volunteer time.
Current Members: 94
We've had a fairly steady influx of new members. New members have been told to attend space Work Nights.
Vacuum Cleaner Decision
We need a new vacuum. We narrowed it down to 3 options:
An Orek
A Hoover commercial bagless model
a Kenmore
It was decided that we should buy the Hoover. Even though one of the other models might be easier to clean, nobody changes the bags.
Thanks to John for researching our options and persisting with this project.
Computer Upgrades
Dave obtained some Windows 11 capable computers (See Space Updates in last month's notes) but they need monitors, RAM and storage. The cost of what's needed was estimated to be $340.
Vote to spend $340 of general funds to purchase monitors, RAM and storage for the new computers.

Shopify Update
John presented the results of playing around with Shopify. It looks like it will do what we need in terms of memberships, subscriptions, and tool fees. Tool Fees can probably be implemented in their current form, instead of restructuring them to be monthly.
In the Shopify system we could have 3 types of customers:
Members
People who are thinking about becoming members
Everyone else
It's the middle group we would probably want to focus on more.
Their website does optimize for mobile. This is good because we have a lot of people complain about Google Groups and it's lack of a way to post on mobile.
A quick webpage was demonstrated. It's different from our current layout but that's maybe a good thing.
The demo Sign Up page looks more like ecommerce, but that's what Shopify is geared toward. The top section of the page has filters and the bottom section is payment.
Shopify plugins can't be customized much, unless you write the plugin yourself.
The demo calendar page is still difficult in mobile. Solutions for that range from $5 - $15 per month.
We need good pictures of people using the space and smiling to add to the site. Brad said he would send a link to John of photos that have already been taken.
John will let Jake talk about possibilities regarding member-only website sections and automation
The Shopify demo page is live but password protected. The automation email is the primary email account, others accounts are linked through Google.
Shopify would cost about $100 per month, plus another $5 per month for a subscription plugin.
We've been talking about revamping the Tool Fees, if we switch to Shopify it would be a good time to do that.
Note: Some people have requested that our website show about how many people are currently using it. Nobody on the Board was enthusiastic about the idea.
Meeting Adjourned
"All in favor of adjourning go like this" - President
Did You Know: If a Google sheet is set to 'anyone with link can view' and someone is looking at the sheet who you do not know, that person's name will show up as "Anonymous [Animal Name]".
Did You Also Know: "Anonymous Cormorant" is what I'm going to call my all-kazoo Daft Punk cover band.
